I've seen shields that big at roundabouts in VA, but not reassurance signs. That's absolutely crazy!

Also kind of odd how the direction plates are not centered and are more or less right-justified.

Also makes me think the contractor(s) were responsible for the new signs and just "winged it", like what most non-DOT contractors do. (i.e., "wrong sizes, but close enough".

One of the many Fresno sourced California State Route shields which can be found in downtown Fresno.  This one was on westbound Fresno Street (former CA 41 and CA 180) approaching Broadway Plaza (former US 99).
