US 121 and US 460/Corridor Q

Judging from some of the images I saw from the winter storm over the weekend, it appears that the signage has been changed on portions of US 460 south of Pikeville to its new designation of Alternate US 460. I saw one photo of the route near its split from US 23/119 that indicated an "Alternate" banner had been added to one existing US 460 posting.

Moved post to be with the rest of the Corridor Q thread in Mid-Atlantic.

Of course, I presume nothing has changed in VA.

GSV from December 2025 shows that stretch still posted as regular US 460.

That would be older than what HB is talking about...so that would make sense. ;D

I took advantage of having the afternoon of Good Friday off to drive up to the newest completed portions of US 460 in Kentucky and Virginia.

I can confirm that US 460 is now fully signed on the Kentucky side, and all the signage on old US 460 has been changed to show Alternate 460. The Virginia signage still says VA 460, and the VA 80 signage is unchanged near Breaks.

VA 460 and US 121 are both signed all the way to the SR 604 intersection where the road currently ends.

One pillar of the bridge across the river and the railroad tracks has been poured on the Grundy side of the still-under-construction portion
