Same here.  :sombrero:  Most of mine are fairly predictable based on my commentary here.
I'm gonna go on a limb and say you're the sign and numbering guy. Either way, I upvoted your comments. I agree that the numbering system is extremely weird.

Actually no - in fact I don't think I've even seen the numbering comments yet.

If you're looking for a stereotype, I'm either the Red Pin Guy™(the only red pins so far are mine) or the Exit 45 Guy™ (3 of 4 pins near Exit 45 are mine).

Well, I know a lot of this here will find this hard to believe, but I'm the guy that's advocating for more lanes to be added.

Why doesn't the Thruway Authority on their website list the availability of E85 fuel and ethanol free gasoline at various Service Areas?

I know that E85 is available at Slothberg and 100% gasoline is available at New Baltimore.  Where else are they available?

Slothburg?   :bigass:   I take AI and its autocorrect at it again changing correct words into other correct words and not knowing grammar either.

The latter is another story, but I can relate to the annoying spellcheck nowadays.

I assume you mean Sloatsburg.

I like Slothburg better.  Appropriate for the speed of the food service last time I tried to get something at the BK, pre-renovation.

And it's probably even slower now, given everything I've heard about getting food at the new service areas.

The Thruway is currently CLOSED between Exit 48A (Pembroke) and 48 (Batavia) due to an apparent incident amidst heavy snowfall in the region.

Apparently, 25-30 vehicles were involved:

I-90 EB has reopened but WB will remain closed "for some time".

Is the Thruway Authority ever going to add a guide sign on SB I-190 at Exit 7 ( Buffalo Skyway) that's been missing for several years?

Last GSV caption showing a sign there was 2018.  No signage other than the 1 mile guide since the gantry removal.

If the experience at EB Exit 30 (NY 28) or WB Exit 50 (I-290) is of any value, maybe in 10 years, maybe never.

The new toll gantry on I-88 for exit 25A is up.  I didn't see the one on I-890, though it's possible that I just missed it because there are more curves and that exit is harder to see from I-90, though I'm guessing it's not far behind.  They're the same style as the ones on the mainline, not the "box" ones used at the other interchanges.  I do wonder what they'll be doing with the I-890 one, given what's visible on street view.  There are gantry supports visible directly next to the existing sign gantry, which is interesting because the sign gantry is only five years old.  Are they moving it?  Replacing it?  Who knows, they didn't publish the plans for this project, not even a redacted version that didn't have whatever proprietary information prompted them to keep the plans secret.

I passed through Thruway Exit 46 today and noticed that a new overpass for the EB on/off ramps is being built just east of the existing one. Info on NYSTA projects tends to be hard to come by, but I was pretty susprised to see so much progress this early in the season (though it's certainly due).

A bit further east, much of the new Lehigh Ridge neighborhood is now clearly visible from the Thruway, which has added to the suburbanized feel around Exit 46.

Are you sure they didn't start in a previous construction season?  I remember it being a work zone the last time I was there.

Quite possible. According to my EZPass records, I hadn't used Exit 46 since November, and at that point not much visible work had happened, but there's been significant progress since then. The abutments are mostly done and it looked almost ready for bridge piers.

Is it just me, or are there a lot of missing guide signs on the Thruway?  There have been missing ones for exits 27 and 30 (both EB) for years now, and now it appears that there are missing signs for WB exits 32 and 34!

The Herkimer Mohawk one has been missing for years now.  They should have had a signage contract come through by now.

Can't help but think mismanagement.

I was hoping they just decided to bundle it with the bridge project there, but the other missing signs make me wonder.

I lost hope in that scenario quite a while ago. :D
