At 8:00 a.m. EDT the temperature was 88. Supposedly a heat wave hit Spain in the last few days, they said Friday and Saturday would be the worst days... but Friday actually was cooler here.
88 at siesta time? Isn't that just typical Spanish weather this time of year?

The same High Pressure zone is giving me a meltingly hot (buildings aren't designed for it, plus we have the humidity) 84F at 4pm today - a slightly cooler day that the last four. Tomorrow will break 30C (and 33C in London) then thankfully we return to proper British summer weather of about 20C/68F (ie what we have now at 11pm - 100 minutes after dusk*) and cloudy.

*I'm surprised at how dark it is given the date - I've sat outside and been able to just about read at this time of day at this time of year at slightly more southern latitudes (and at these ones), but it's like it's midnight, despite being Nautical Twilight for another half-hour, and Astronomical Twilight until 0058 on the 21st. Of July. It shouldn't be cloudy according to the radar - and I can see a few small ones just about (though no stars, but that might just be a light pollution issue as I rarely see stars unless I go to other parts of town), and the clouds often reflect light from more northern places (and if I look north the sky is slightly lighter). It's most odd. Perhaps it's heat haze - like that which I saw over Oxfordshire while descending down into it this morning, but I'm on the top of a hill and it was clearly only in the Vale.

 In Crestview FL
Light Rain Fog/Mist
73F
23C
Humidity    94%
Wind Speed    E 6 mph
Barometer    29.98 in (1014.8 mb)
Dewpoint    71F (22C)
Visibility    4.00 mi
Last update    20 Jun 5:53 pm CDT
Temps steady 75-80. We're on the east side of Tropical Storm Cindys' rain shield. If she was of hurricane strength (74+mph sustained winds) the east side has the most severe weather ie highest winds, storm surge, tornados & heaviest rainfall only higher in the actual eyewall. They are expecting winds to 20mph :wow: :-D with up to 8" of rain, our sandy soil soaks it up quickly so flooding isnt a problem here. In the city there will likely be some street flooding b/c of the pavement.

Today in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, measured one hour ago in the airport weather station; we are at 28,9C (84.2F), and the temperature will probably rise to 90F in the middle of the day. Wind is 13.6 miles per hour, the barometer shows 1016,8 hPa (30.02 inHg) and humidity is 44%, though it's likely to rise too to around 85-90%. A typical summer start!

33C / 91F
40% humidity

Note that it's 6pm. Last year we were enjoying nice 23C/73F summer weather - which is what it will be at 11pm (with a humidity of 83%, bringing the dew point up vs now)

Seattle's climate has always reminded me of London. Anything in the 90s is unusual. Nights in the 60s and 70s feels very unusual. Record temp right around 100. Pretty much the same. Although I think we have slightly less humidity during dry weather.

It's supposed to be around 90-92 this weekend. No one's losing their minds yet, but it's only a matter of time.

London is slightly hotter than where I am (urban heat island principle, plus it's lower as I'm around 500ft which drops me a further degree, and also means that snow in winter is much more severe) - seems about right.

Looking, Seattle is slightly warmer (record of 103 vs 100.6, average high of 60.3 vs 59.36) and colder (record low of 0 vs 8.2, average low of 45.0 vs 45.38), somewhat sunnier (mean monthly sunshine hours of 2169.7 vs 1632.6), and significantly wetter (152 rain days vs 109.6 and average rain inches 37.49 vs 23.7).

I've just been in perpetual rainfall for the last 24 or so hours. Either it storms, rains normally, or just stays cloudy, and then it rains whenever the hell it wants to. I'm surprised I haven't gotten a flash flood warning in my area yet. It's just a severe thunderstorm warning. Of course, it's all part of some tropical rainstorm, but I'm getting tired of the rain.

Oh, temperature and humidity and stuff? 82oF and 74% humidity.

It's supposed to be in the upper 90s tomorrow in the the suburban Seattle area. Seattle proper should peak in the low 90s. Either way, way too fuckin hot for me. Thank God I got AC installed last year.

The 90+ degree heat over the weekend in Seattle proved to be a record-breaker. It broke the record for the 25th of June (93, previously 87 in 2002), and also tied for the hottest June day ever (93).

TWC's 15-day outlook doesn't predict any rain soon. Though that's normal. Seattle summer weather is generally dry, with most of our rain in the form of mountain storms rolling into the lowlands. At least as far as I can remember. kkt or Bruce may want to confirm that.
