The bikers have a 1496 picture where 1495 is supposed to be :banghead:.

Unfortunately, the AARoads page on TX-288 tells us that highway begins at FM-1495 but doesn't have a sign assembly for it.  Aarrrgghghh!

There is a 1495 in Kentucky and state secondary routes in NC and others, I'll have to investigate further when I have a bit more time..  This is definitely a roadblock but I don't think a challenge killer.  And if it is, well, it's been a great ride.

Yeah, I find it incredibly difficult to search through hbelkins' photos.  Then there's the fact that a bunch of them are still on his camera.....  Help!

We are past the 48-hour rule for GSV.  But I'd rather eat my own foot than post GSV on this thread.

I was actually near KY 1495 this weekend, but wasn't on the intersecting route to get a photo.

So I'm using this:

I was trying to navigate around in the photolog the other day and was frustrated with the navigation and performance.  I'm glad you had better luck than I.

Are you sure that's a route number and not an exit number or "1500 meters"?

It looks like a route number. I can't read Hebrew. I can't imagine an exit number of 1500.

It means 1500 meters.  The cross road at that interchange is number 4503.
I can't read Hebrew either.  Do your research.

It's a distance. 1500 m to the interchange.

The sign:

I guess that means 1500 is still the next number.

2.5 months to get through the 1400s.  I have a feeling the 1500s might be the end of this challenge at some point.

It's gone on far longer than I thought it could.  grep tells me I only have two candidates in the 1500s: 1503 and 1515.

I'd never even heard of them before, and I'm pretty familiar with Texas highways.  Cool!

For those using the Texas bikers for photos, you'll probably notice the typical repository (https://sites.google.com/site/txfarmranchroads/) doesn't have anything for the 1500s.  The original forum thread for that group (twtex) is here: http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9234.  We would currently be on page 240(!) of that thread.  There are some signs to be had there, but unfortunately, many images are blocked because they were on Photobucket.  Needless to say, getting through the 1500s is going to be very difficult.

KY 1505 (from the KYTC photolog, I couldn't find one of my photos of the signage, although I know I have some.)
