The challenge is on life support!

Can we post the same picture twice if it has two separate numbers? If so, my 1019 can also be used for 1022.

Yes. See 37 and 39.

It might be within the rules of the game, but it takes something way from the game.  After all, we've already seen that sign.  It's better to see a new one.

Yeah, why not.  Just post it again, it's like wartime, no time to question anything.  The ship is going down!!  We must do whatever we can!  (Not changing the rules at this time though)

I'd go take another picture of 1022, if it (a) weren't an hour from me and (b) just outside the Baton Rouge area flood zone. Most of the LA 10xx routes are in the "Florida parishes" area, and many of those were flooded at one point during this event.

Suggestion: Amend the 5-number rule to grant an exception if you are posting your own picture. Maybe require 6 hours to pass before posting twice under this exception.

Also, i think my previous suggestion to reduce the downtime from 24 hours to 12 hours could be useful now. I'd still let GSV remain at 48 hours.

I'm pretty sure the thread is dying, guys. Chays is basically the only one posting (and 53% of his posts are in this thread, for that matter).

FWIW, this is my first post in this thread. I had several photos lined up but I missed every opportunity.

Chays is "the only one posting" because he keeps catching his opportunity on the 24-hour limit, and he knows where he can get pictures. I actually have pictures to post (especially right now), but I can't post all of them because of the 5-number rule and because Chays keeps beating me to the 24-hour rule.

Alright this isn't working out too well.  If you have original photos from your own collection just post them every 24 hours.

In other words, you can post any photo under your ownership 24 hours after your previous post.

I have a 1025. 1026 has an exit on I-12, so it should be easy to find a picture of it.

1024 should be hard. It's the first time we've added a new (binary) digit since 512.

Saw the 1023 in that image, not the 1024.  So, good!   We're on to the 11th bit.

And if it hadn't been found I had it covered.

I had a KY 1016, but I've been gone for a week.

BTW, anyone is welcome to scour my sites (www.millenniumhwy.net, hbelkins on Flickr or Millennium Highway on Facebook) to grab photos to post here. I'm not exactly sure what Kentucky four-digit routes I have there, but you all can have fun looking.
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.
