There is an M Street in Louisville with no other single-letter named streets that I'm aware of.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/M+St,+Louisville,+KY+40208/@38.2092881,-85.7657508,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x8869129d520f458b:0xae1db467c0519773!8m2!3d38.2092966!4d-85.7673923

Looks like that may have been a placeholder until they could think of a better name.  Looking at streets to the south (?) of it, that was the first thing I thought of:

Heywood Ave
Iowa Ave
Kleier Ave

Then again, there's no J or L represented.  That alley without a name on Google Maps looks like it might be the J.

Well... And i thought Berry Dairy Road was bad.

I would imagine that given it is Lake Havasu there was some sort of retiree fued that led to the genesis of said street name.  Nothing quite as vicious as some old folks in charge of a patch of grass.

That would fit right in with No Name Drive on No Name Key in Florida:

https://www.google.com/maps/@24.6978199,-81.3291724,3a,75y,270h,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1siBEj5Tv-JNe8WGH0qRr9VQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en

There is also a town called No Name along I-70 in Glenwood Canyon CO. Which is only funny because the exit sign from 70 makes it look like the exit doesn't have a name, while it's actually the town.

I've seen some Interstate exits in lonely areas that just go to a frontage road (this is Texas, where we have them everywhere).  Instead of labeling the exit as "Frontage Road" they call it "Frontage Rd" which I take as meaning that's the name of the road.  It isn't the actual name, but I read it as one and I think it would qualify as a stupid one.
I'd like to buy a vowel, Alex.  What is E?

How many towns have Walmart Drive?

I generally think naming a street after a business is dumb because of what happens when the business leaves. The Westin near Tysons Corner is on Ramada Drive, for example, and the Fresh World International Supermarket near Springfield is on Hechinger Drive, named for a chain of hardware stores that went under in 1999!

We could probably have an entire thread about street names taken from businesses on the relevant street.

Has anyone brought up "Tom Raper Way" in Richmond, IN?

Agreed.  Westminster, Maryland has WMC Drive - for Western Maryland College, which changed its name to McDaniel College well before I moved to the area.  Did the street name change?  Nope!

There's also Chevro Drive in Taneytown, MD (home to a Chevy dealer), and similarly, Chevrolet Drive in Ellicott City, MD.  Remember when Chrysler closed a metric crap-ton of dealerships?

There might be a reason for that, MDC might be considered an unfortunate acronym, as there is a punk/hardcore band of the same name.

We did have a thread revolving around roads named for businesses which no longer exist on that road: https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=18246.0;topicseen

Try naming your new village after a business. Such is the case of Holiday City, Ohio, incorporated in the late 1990s by the family who owned a large hotel next to exit 13 on the Ohio Turnpike. At the time, said hotel was flagged as a Holiday Inn. A few years later, it was rebranded to a Ramada. As some point, a sign was erected that gave the name of a large pond next to the hotel and turnpike interchange as "Ramada Lake". Two years ago, the hotel reflagged again, this time as a Quality Inn. Yes, that means the Quality Inn is next to Ramada Lake in Holiday City, Ohio.

There's also a Holiday Inn Express, which I stayed at in 2015. My mom and I thought the name of the village was funny since there's nothing around (not exactly a holiday destination :-D)

^^ You came close on the spelling of Potawatomi. We have a Potawatomi Park and Zoo in South Bend: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.669512,-86.2204739,17z

Does that have anything to do with Pottawatomie County, OK?  :)

The South Bend park and zoo were named for a local Indian tribe. The Pokagon band of the Potawatomi remained here and have now built a successful chain of casinos in southwestern Michigan. They are currently adding a casino in South Bend, along with their new headquarters. Their history is here: http://www.pokagon.com/our-culture/history

I presume that the forcibly relocated Potawatomi bands were taken to Oklahoma, like so many others. Spelling variations are of course common when Indian names are expressed in English.

You see this in East Lansing, Michigan with M.A.C. Ave, which refers to the Michigan Agricultural College, which is now Michigan State University.

I see it as a fun reminder of the past.

It seems Google Maps abreviates all instances of some words, like here due to Mexican influence. As of June 11 street signs there still spell out "Oriente" and "Poniente" (I didn't take pics of them for the Street sign game due to too many plays ending in E).
