Interstate 81 in Syracuse

I heard back from the I-81 project team today regarding the mile markers north of exit 96.  They say that they are "currently working to replace the markers between Exit 96 and the Onondaga County line".  Of course, the question is, what does "currently working" mean?  Does that mean the mile markers are currently being changed, or are they planning for when they will eventually be changed?

It's frustrating maintaining a hobby site sometimes - now I have a dilemma over whether I should update the I-81 list to remove the "posted" mile for exits 98 and 102 in light of this or not (just as I have one regarding the Thruway tolls for exits 25 and 25A, since the Thruway didn't get more specific than "end of summer").  I'm doing a site update Sunday for the I-99 stuff (as I can't do one the following week), and then I don't expect to do one again until mid-September, so the question is, what best reflects the state of the highway system during that time?
