GA 11 runs the length of the state from north to south, a total of 374 miles.

As with most of the longer state routes in Georgia, it spends a fair amount of its time as a sidekick to US routes. It hangs out a little bit with US 41 and US 341, but its best friend is US 129, with which it has three separate concurrencies. Here they are just north of Gainesville:

I thought for sure I made a challenge just like this last year.  Either that or I thought to do it and didn't carry it out.
In any case, Illinois has a lot of dinky routes with low numbers and long routes with high numbers.  But that doesn't stop Route 1 from being the longest state route in Illinois.

I thought for sure I made a challenge just like this last year.  Either that or I thought to do it and didn't carry it out.

It's a bit hard to see, but the left and right edges of the "28" sign are slightly farther forward than the center of this sign, when compared to the "SOUTH" banner directly below it.
