My first thought for today's challenge was a Vermont state route shield, but I wanted something I was more familiar with.  I then realized that parking time signs and handicap parking signs have green text.  Here's a post with both just outside of the Cayuga County Office Building here in Auburn.

Where did you find that example of sine rot? I'm guessing somewhere in western Kentucky.

And speaking of western Kentucky...

QuoteMarch 18th Challenge => Post photos of surface streets that have four or more lanes in a single direction (OR both directions):

Here is my contribution, from off of Tennessee Highway 153 Northbound in Hixson, a part of Chattanooga, Tennessee (it is hard to tell in this picture, but it is there):

(However, that part of TN 153 is just north of where the limited-access section ends.)

I do find these kinds of roads to be quite fascinating, personally. I think these stretches of road are moderately rare (at least in my experience) if they are in both directions and especially if it is for an extensive length of road, so bonus points to anyone who posts pictures showcasing those kinds of stretches of road. My picture is a little less special and a little more common.
Now alternating between different highway shields for my avatar - my previous highway shield avatar for the last few years was US 76.

I have plenty, but since it's hard to search for them in my collection, I'll just use one close to home in Amsterdam, showing New York 5, New York 30, and New York 67.  November 3, 2001.

There's a few I can think of in CNY:
Not only do the BGSes near Rome have 7 shields, but there's two assemblies after the split with another 7 shields, and there's a BGS in the background with two NY shields.  That's a total of 16 shields!

Jim

^^ Forgot about that area south of Rome.  Too bad my angle on this wasn't just a little better.  I got 12 NY shields in this one, but I bet I could have gotten 14 with some effort. May 15, 2013.
