I have one from South Dakota and two triples from Alabama.

Hmm, still no Challenge for today...OK, we're going to do something a little different: a 1-2-3 U.S. Presidents Challenge! (We've done a presidential Challenge before, but this is not quite the same.)

Unlike most Challenges, this one will remain open until the sequence is finished. We'll start with Washington, and post signs with the last name of each president in order. Here are the rules:
—The name can appear as a street name, the name of a city, or any other way, but it must be on an official road sign.
—The name must appear, spelled correctly, as a standalone word (not within another word or as a sequence of letters in multiple words).
—Only the last name is required, and it does not need to be something actually named for that president (or for a person at all). However, if the full name does appear in the sign, then it does need to match the president in question. For example, a sign for Clinton County would work for Bill Clinton, but a sign for the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge would not work for John F. Kennedy. Likewise, any sign showing "John Adams" or "George Bush" must pertain to the correct one of the pair, even thought the first names are the same. But just plain "Adams" or "Bush" would work for either.
—Any sign or any photo can only be used once in the Challenge. (You can't use a different photo of the same sign, or two different signs from one photo.)
—Cleveland will be counted twice, as is usual in lists of the presidents.
—Speaking of which, here's such a list to help in the game.

When answering this Challenge, quote the Challenge statement below, replacing the president's name with the one currently in play, as well as the next one to follow. Okay...go!

This is one of my most recent photos (imgur uploads my photos out of order, so I might be off by one or two). I took it on April 28th on TCH 16 entering Saskatoon. Ironically it was overcast and it started to rain a minute later

LA 728-2, yesterday...didn't have any good hyphenated route shields in my collection:

I'm still uploading "new" photos from early-2013, but since I'd finally found a 754, I uploaded a dozen recent shots to go with it.

This defaced sign on Fleur Dr at the IA-5 interchange. It's been like this for at least a few years now. Picture was actually taken yesterday, May 9.

Maybe no one else has been to western Mass.  So I'll post again to see if the May 8 challenge is going to go anywhere.  Perhaps it would be more successful as its own thread.

Taken from the Erroneous Road Signs thread (I think the description said it should be Alt 36, not 36 itself)

Edit: I removed the declaration of the May 10 challenge from this post (I was previously multitasking), so the next post has the official May 10 challenge.

If yesterday was May 9th, then you can't post for the May 9th Challenge. (You're supposed to cover your tracks and say you were in Alaska or something.) ;-)

I thought of that, or maybe of a thread pointing to this one (for those who are interested in the sequential challenges but not the daily one). But sometimes threads just linger for a bit until they're jumpstarted–there was almost nothing posted for May 9th, either, but then that hourlong Challenge managed to get a fair bit of activity!

Meanwhile...

If there are no photos at all for that challenge (this also means that the creator does not post any), it lasts until the first photo is posted. Otherwise, it ends at midnight in your time zone.

I'll consider this one to be it: Dellwood St. On the right side, you can see a post with a tiny sign (for one of Cambridge's walking trails) and a blank area above it–that's where an MN-293 shield used to be. :-(

May 11, 2017:  Post a route marker for a route that has nothing showing for it on Google Maps.  In other words, it's signed in the wild, but cannot be found on Google Maps no matter what you do.  (Old photos of routes no longer in existence don't count.)

UT-308 is shown only as "Kodachrome State Park Rd" on Google Maps.  There is no state highway designation shown.
This marker is found at the south end of the road...I believe it is the only marker for UT-308 in existence.

GA 5 Conn, better known as Barrett Pkwy, in Cobb County. No route marker on Google Maps (or on signage from either I-75 or I-575, for that matter).

Business US-71 that runs through Storm Lake, IA is nowhere to be found–here's its southern terminus looking towards town, concurrent with IA-7.
