Usually, doesn't help, doesn't hurt. But they can help if the previous poster would like to play from that post's ending letter, but couldn't because of the 48-hour rule. For example, I played an ____f, but really wanted to post an F____. Someone posting "F Street" made that happen.

In this case, I'm low on D___s, but hopefully someone else isn't.

Actually, you're veering us further off track. Amsterdam Ln. was an invalid play, since the preceding street name (Argos Corner Rd.) ended with "r".

We're still on "r" -- let's play an R___ to get us back on track.
