Simcoe Street → SW Eighth Street (Des Moines, IA–it's a weird street blade that was at the end of the street where it turned into an alley. I think used to be Elm Street but was demoted to unnamed alley status, hence the leftover sign. I'm pretty sure this sign has since been removed.)

Since I just played Eighth, might as well now play Ninth :)

Huffman Road → SE Ninth Street (Des Moines, IA)

Doesn't help, doesn't hurt -- but just like I played my last H___ from Alaska, this uses up my last one from Hawaii.

Since Oscar just played Huffman, I just have to do this:

High Street → Hoffman Road (out on the northern fringes of Des Moines, IA — the sign on top is pointing toward where Hoffman Rd meets the city limit and becomes NE 44th Ave.)

And now my (new) final available N:

Hoffman Rd -> Nelson Ferry Rd (Decatur, GA)

Seeing as how a lot of street names end with N and comparatively few street names actually start with N (example: out of the 608 named streets in Des Moines, only ten start with N; twelve if you include Ninth and Nineteenth, and in the 88 plays I've made I've already used them all), can we add it to the special letters list?

Or, another idea I had, was that N becomes a wildcard: you can play a street starting with any letter after one is posted that ends with N. That way streets that start with rare ending letters (e.g. B, C, P, Q, U, and V immediately come to mind) could be played more often.

Thoughts, jbnv (and everyone else)?

I've trying to play a G for some days now. Too bad I didn't catch the blade for the street just around the corner, which ends in V!
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

If I get a chance to play a "B," the one I'll play ends in a "G."

I like the wildcard idea, since I'm sure lots of people have an excess number of B's,  C's, P's, etc that are hard to play. The number of N's is getting annoying.

Well, I could go around my hometown. Not many streets here end with N (although there's a load of Os and also many Ls, side effect of Spanish). I can get you a Z if necessary, as well as the V.

Added N to the existing special letter rule.

6. Special letters: N, X and Y are the current special letters. If there are other street names in the same picture and the matching name ends with one of the special letters, you may use one of the other street names in the picture. (Otherwise, you must use the matching name.) The OP reserves the right to add additional special letters as the game progresses.

I'm not ready to declare an outright wildcard yet because I've been going out and finding streets to play.
