Can't remember as it was a few years ago since I took that picture but I do use small apertures when taking night shots, if only to keep the shutter open long enough to capture long lines of headlights. It might also be the lens, as I use my 50mm prime for 99% of my roads pictures.

Yours is nice too, although sometimes I find the bridge I'm standing on can shake when big trucks go past.

If the signs are too small to read on the full size picture they are I-91 and I-84 plus a square state route shield CT-15.

not mine; that one was taken by Jeff Royston.  here is one of mine.  oh, the humanity, and the awful white balance of the sodium lights!



the 50/1.8 does indeed give great starbursts even starting at f/8.

Do you have the original photo? You could check the EXIF data that is embedded into the file.

Yes, I've kept the originals of all pictures I've taken. The early photos were edited in Photoshop so the EXIF isn't available online. The later ones are edited in Capture NX2 so these are preserved when I put the pictures online.
