classic 1960-spec New Mexico shields!  :clap:



one from a very old guide sign in Santa Rosa (it dates back to when US-66 was an active state highway; I took the photo in 2006) - now replaced with some excellent BUSINESS/LOOP/54 shields (yep, with crossbar and crown and everything).  I need to get those photos uploaded, as Santa Rosa features some excellent shields these days.

Are they intentionally meant to be historical in nature, or has New Mexico unilaterally re-commissioned US 66?

Anyway, now I really want to see them.
