Thread notifications seem to be broken
« on: September 13, 2017, 06:49:42 AM »

Lately I have not been getting email notifications if someone has replied to a topic which I am subscribed so. Has anyone else had that problem?

I've never gotten a thread notification in all the years I've posted here.

I've never gotten a thread notification in all the years I've posted here.

Same here.  :-D

However, I do know that they exist - I've simply never personally utilized them. I'm sure they are handy for those who do use them. There's also plenty of other things that seem to be popular, but that I've never tried out such as Tapatalk. I probably am using the forum in the most basic, generic way possible. Despite never dealt with them myself, I'm sure the thread notificiations not working well is a minor frustration for others here, especially those who are used to using them.

I get notifications all the time and got several today. If I stopped getting them I would:
  • Check my account settings on this forum. Notifications can be turned off and on there.
  • Check that the right email address is entered there.
  • Check my email spam folder.

Got my first email thread notification today since, last one before was July 17th.

I was just beginning to wonder why there were no updates to the forum threads I've been subscribed to.

Something was definitely messed up on this forum....
