Not in favor of most of them.  But Minnesota should totally change its name to Minne.

As a native Minnesotan, I have definitely called it "Minny" before.

Saw a magazine addressed to "Duluth, Minisoda" when I lived up there.

I find the negative atomic weight of Magnesium to be part of a chapter for Isaac Asimov's unreleased The Gods Themselves and Empire, based on the planet Mongeon.

What I never understand about these sorts of AI errors is why someone was having AI generate a map or periodic table in the first place, instead of just downloading one from Wikipedia or whatever.

Every once in a while a hammer might be able to drive a screw, but it's probably still easier to use the right tool for the job...

I'm guessing it's either done for "stylistic consistency" and/or the designers are literally just pulling images off of Google without looking too closely at them.

Alternatively, the company that made it outsourced the design work to a third party who then used AI to generate it rather than paying an actual artist or designer.

That's the hilarious thing; maps from Wikipedia are free and legal to use for this sort of thing (you might just have to credit the map designer). Having an AI do it is literally more work!
