The actual solution for Boston to Worcester (as intended by Roadgeekteen) is enter I-93 from Science Park MTBA station in order to not touch US 1, then I-495 and I-290.

As for NYC to Poughkeepsie, use Hutchinson River Parkway to I-684 to NY 22 to NY 55.

Now for a tricky one: Rock Springs to Evanston (both in Wyoming) without touching any Interstate.

Thatís taking the long way sir, and IMO you can touch banned routes without using them (unless a concurrency is required), even if using mass transit. Thatís why I recommended using Amtrakís Lake Shore Limited (which partially runs on track owned and operated by the MBTA) between Bostonís South Station and Worcesterís Union Station, or using the MBTAís Framingham/Worcester Line between Bostonís South Station and Worcesterís Union Station.

That ruins the spirit of the game though

Boston to Worcester: I still think MA 30 most of the way would be faster than going all the way around.

So what? Did you even notice that a few of the prior answers allowed touching of, and even long/short concurrencies with, banned routes? Címon, man!

I agree with you on this one, despite not recalling having this option available.

You can cross a banned route I thought. Nobody said that this game was easy.

Alta, Utah to Salt Lake City. No UT 210, no flying, and no floating down rivers.

Hike down the side of Little Cottonwood Creek.

Can't even use Mexico as an alternative, either.

There is a concurrency of I-93 and US 1. And I went that way because I didn't notice MA 30, as it's not that highlighted in OpenStreetMap :banghead:.
