Tolls on the bridges in Halifax are going to be gone by the end of this weekend...
Interesting - how is the province planning to fund future maintenance of these bridges?

The highway 104 brand new rest areas are now open. I took a look at the eastbound one; the westbound one is typically the same.

This is the building seen from the truck parking lot. On the right, it's my workhorse.

In the central area, there's a washing counter, with a part of the counter lowered, so the kids can also wash their hands.

The venue bears female and male separated washrooms, but also includes gender neutral washrooms.

If you have any concerns, there's the address.

The building again, but from the car parking lot.

Despite the fact that the building is brand new, I'm a bit disappointed; I didn't see any vending machine, so the place is just a basic rest area. At first, it was supposed to open in fall of 2023, but was postponed to fall of 2024, and finally open in spring of 2025, but I'd seen nothing that can justify a one-an-a-half year delay. COVID-19 was easy to blame, in this case.

But it's nice and clean, so enjoy!
- How many people are working in here?
- About 20%

...yes, it's my real face. Believe it or not.

I'm a semi driver in Canada (mostly in QC, NB and NS)

States/provinces/territories I didn't went in: AB, AK, AL, BC, HI, KS, LA, MB, MN, MS, MT, ND, NL, NT, NU, RI, SD, SK, WA, WI, YT.  Well, maybe some options for a post-retirement road trip. Maybe.
