Which browser are you using? I'm seeing my own images in Chrome, after I made a tweak suggested by Scott to fix its problem with "mixed content" (insecure images, like my own, on a secure web page like this forum's). But Microsloth Edge is now having the same problem, and it's affecting my images.

Edge is showing a cracked thumbnail of my image, in the upper left corner of where the image would normally appear. Right-click that and open the image in a new browser window, and it will show just fine. You can look for a tweak of your Chrome or Edge settings to fix the problem for at least my photos (most of them are on alaskaroads.com, some on hawaiihighways.com), or you can switch to another browser.

Why can't you make your own website https?

Aside from any extra cost, that would break the URLs for every photo I've ever posted, including on other sites. That would affect hundreds if not thousands of my photos just on this site.

I asked Alex to automatically fix the URLs for a smaller number of links, when my ISP on short notice eliminated my personal web space and I had to move its contents over to my alaskaroads.com space. That proved to be a headache, which he said he won't do again. The admin of soakersforum.com refused to even try, but I had only a few dozen broken links there, and I could manually fix most of them.

aaroads.com could go back to insecure http:// rather than secure https://. But that would probably screw things up too, including this forum's login and registration functions.

Does it at least show the broken image link, like Chrome and Edge?

I used Opera long ago. Firefox (which Scott recommends as a less kludgy fix for the "mixed content" problem), I stopped using a few years ago when my install started getting weird on me. I might give that another try.

Yes. I find Opera works better for me than Firefox at least 90 percent of the time.

Just used Firefox a moment ago, and all images loaded for this thread.

No changes to the default settings.
