Nope.  According to the rules in the OP, an appended letter is OK, but not an appended numeral.

Rules:

2. A sign matches the previous one if at least one is true: a. the number matches

Rulings:
* A lettered prefix or suffix on a route is not part of the number.

I'll play off the exit 97 gore sign.

The only way to play another number is anything of the sign type, or if there are multiple numbers in the same photo of the same type of sign. Then you can match that other number.

For my next sign (i know i have to wait 24h to play again due to spamming), Its going to be a wild (sign says wild and wonderful in WV - I81; taken during my trip to see my uncle one last time; funny thing is that he died the next day when we went back to our home state!)

Here's a blue sign from Canada's Northwest Territories, which doesn't have a lot of road signs, but many of them are blue.

Wild and Wonderful => on the Dempster Highway (NT 8) north of the Arctic Circle, 114 km to Tsiigehtchic, 172 km to Fort McPherson, or 257 km to the Yukon border:
