Crossing my fingers this allows another team to get the cup for once.
Yeah if the Panthers make it again I expect a serious ratings drop in the SCF.

PWHL has announced their schedule for next season, which starts on November 21. Seattle and Vancouver still don't have actual team names yet.

I'm hopeful that the Habs will make it far into the playoffs, but also realistically they probably won't. To be fair, this goes for most seasons...

...by the way, did you know that "cope and seethe" was coined to refer to Leafs (and later Habs) fans who think this year is the one they bring the Cup home for real?

Me too, as well as the Leafs, Red Wings.  I'd like to see some old rivalries reviving.

Yesterday, the Habs goaltender, Jakub Dobes was emotional in a loss in overtime against the NJ Devils.

He taked the game very seriously. That remind me when the former home of the Montreal Canadiens, the Forum closed and replaced by the Centre Bell back in 1996. During the ceremony of the last game at the Forum, we can see Richard having some tears.

The Blackhawks are so entertaining to watch this season so far. All the NHL kids are starting to shine

We hear and learn a lot about NHL legends like Howe, Richard, Hull, Orr, Esposito, Lafleur, Gretzky, Bossy, Lemieux, Overchkin, Crosby, etc.... but we don't hear a lot about big scorers in professional minors leagues like Guyle Fielder, a big scorer with the Seattle Totems in the WHL who recently passed away.
https://www.nhl.com/kraken/news/kraken-mourn-passing-of-seattle-hockey-legend-guyle-fielder
QuoteThere was a connection between hockey legend Guyle Fielder and Seattle that never truly went away, even if it did go dormant for a time ahead of a rather surprising late life resurrection.

In fact, the final act of the longtime Seattle Totems captain this week was packing his belongings in Arizona on Monday ahead of a planned permanent move on Tuesday back up to this area to live out his remaining time with family in Sammamish. But he never made it. Fielder suffered a massive stroke at home early Tuesday morning, just hours before the planned drive to Washington and never fully regained consciousness before dying Saturday at age 95 with family at his side.

"It was all very peaceful," said his niece, Jackie Malsam, who'd been in Arizona with her husband planning to drive Fielder back to their Sammamish residence. "We were all sitting around the table reminiscing late into the (Monday) night and he just closed his eyes like he always did when he needed to take a rest. This time, he didn't open them back up."

Besides Guyle Fiedler, other minor leagues legends in the AHL was Willie Marshall, Fred Glover and Jody Gage. The only ones who scored 500 career goals in the AHL.

Hey, we've seen worse, as Dallas is still NOWHERE near DC, Philly or NYC.

Looks like another forgettable season for the Hawks, as they sit just one spot above the Central Division cellar.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

But just barely (even though I was rooting for them). Now they'll need to beat the Hurricanes, who are well-rested after steamrollering the Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers.

FWIW the Canadiens haven't been consistently a top performing team since the early 1990s.  A semifinals appearance is still forward progress over a first round loss last year and missing the playoffs for three years prior to that.

Also, I'm amused at the irony in the previous reply.  I distinctly recall a time during which claims that the NHL favored the Maple Leafs and Canadians was a common occurrence.
