On the trip to Ogden for the golf tournament this past week I did the big circle counterclockwise around the Great Salt Lake.  Nevada to Utah on I-80, and Utah to Nevada on UT 30 and NV 233.

I've crossed Nevada's borders at most of the places where state highways cross, and also at a good number of places where neither state's road is a state highway.  In the latter category, there are a couple of local streets on either side of US 50 near the Stateline casinos, and others would include the Aztec Road and the new Bullhead Parkway bridges near Laughlin.  One crossing I can't remember making is on the Winnemucca to the Sea Highway, NV 140 and OR 140.  There's no destination from Tahoe where it would make any sense to use that highway between US 395 and Denio Junction (NV 292), so it would require making a specific point of driving that rather lengthy road.

Coincidentally, and on the same day as Rothman (and attending the same lunch), I invariably used Routes 4, 9, 119, and 123.  And also I-89 three times.

Are you a road trip photographer? Because I would love to see photos from that trip.

I don't take many pictures, since I'm always driving and it's often difficult to find a place to safely pull over.  I'll see if I can figure out how to share something on here.  Taking in the scenery is my favorite part of road tripping, though.  I love the variety of landscapes across the US and try to take different routes on each trip.  This forum and the travel mapping site have really given me great excuses to drive through places I otherwise would never have seen.  Thanks to everyone involved!

We recently spent a few days in Kansas City.  We stayed less than a half-mile east of the KS/MO state line, and the parking garage for where we spent a lot of time is one block west of the state line.  So I crossed in and out of my state quite a number of times while we were there, including once on foot.  But every time I crossed the state line was via 39th St/39th Ave, except for when we first arrived in Missouri via 43rd Ave/Westport Rd.
