Anybody ever built a road system in Minecraft? I've built some in the past and plan on starting up again with all of the free time I have.

I've built a model of the real-life road system including 2/3 of Massachusetts, half of Rhode Island and New Hampshire, and small parts of Maine and Connecticut, with 1 mile ≈ 20-25 blocks. This includes over 10,000 signs.
Clinched, minus I-93 (I'm missing a few miles and my file is incorrect)

Traveled, plus US 13, 44, and 50, and several state routes

I will be in Burlington VT for the eclipse.

This sort of thing actually makes me consider Minecraft. And I'm not really that much of a gamer.
