For those who jump all over people who use the word "dethaw" instead of "thaw", claiming that the de- prefix makes it mean the opposite of what the person intends...
I'm curious to know how you would define the following words:

  delimit
  denote

Nope.  This came from a list I made a couple of years ago, wrote down on a slip of paper, and stuffed in my wallet between a bunch of random business cards.  I just found it in there and suffered through plugging it into the forum's table format.

I understand why companies use AI to make graphics like this ($$$), but it's really sad when they don't even bother to slap the actual logo over slop like that. Also, the "generic AI anime" style, complete with a Channel Islands megacity that I guess exists now, is an odd choice.

Studies have also shown that children who are raised around pets tend to develop fewer allergies.  Maybe the animals should have been raised near animals.

I've run twice today for 15 over miles.  Given I stopped and started exercise back up I had to hydration prep for two runs.  Right now I'm at 256 ounces of water consumed for the day.  I'll easily be over 300 ounces by the end of the day since I'll be doing camera work on a ladder tonight.

I didn't even consume 200 ounces of water on Sunday during my hike on Hites Cove Road.  I probably would have given the last two miles had an approximately 2,000 foot elevation ascent.   I gave most of my spare water to one of the people hiking with me since he had run out and was showing symptoms of heat exhaustion.

Everyone likes reality TV apparently, and singing contests are really popular. How about a songwriting show?

Start with 12 or 20 contestants. The first contest: write a 3-minute pop song. Easy peasy. Challenge: the topic cannot be related to personal attraction or love.

Half the contestants do not advance.

Round 2: you cannot use the I - V - vi - IV chord progression (the one from "Don't Stop Believing")

Round 3: must use odd meter

Round 4: harsh vocals

Round 5: microtonal

At work, we have a small whitboard that isn't used for much.  Over the past couple years, I've been writing various messages, usually references to shows, songs, and stuff I'm interested in, often but not always adapted to NYSDOT or transportation planning (once it read "People assume planning is a linear progression from cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbley-wobbley, planney-wanney stuff"; another said "Holy mother forking shirt balls, THIS is the Planning unit!"; I also adapted The Fate of Ophelia a few months ago, as well as many songs from Hazbin Hotel - my favorites being the one I made for Clean It Up - complete with using Google translate for the Japanese bits (note to self - keep it to the Latin alphabet going forward!)).

Lately it's been a lot of Sailor Moon references, since I'm in the middle of a rewatch (I ended up with two for SuperS, the second made by crossing out bits of the first - "Protect your beautiful dream - beware circus acts that started after the eclipse girls playing billiards").  I wasn't sure what I was going to do for Stars; I had an idea, but I wasn't sure, and was going to wait a few days to see if I got inspired.  Well, I did - by a thread on this forum, no less.  Now it reads "Did Sailor Galaxia kill Chuck Norris?  Someone like him MUST have a true star seed!".

A short distance east of there is a former alignment of Dayton Valley Road, now known as "Old Dayton Valley Road".  Dayton's schools are along that road.

Shortly after Joe Biden replaced Donald Trump in 2021, the Lyon County Commissioners proposed renaming Old Dayton Valley Road as "Pres. Trump Way".  That was too much for even the conservative citizens of Lyon County and the proposal failed.

The only-in-Nevada line from that linked story:
