In February 2021 I went on a Wikimedia Commons photography crusade in northeastern Florida, which evolved into my first trip to Folkston, Georgia. But before I got there, one of the things I did was drive along Florida State Road 100 towards the Etoniah Creek State Forest near Florahome, Florida. The reason for this was that there was only one image of this forest, and the article on it seemed like it might've attracted the interest of deletionists. So, I went there, took some photos of my own, and added it to a future commons gallery.

While I was there, I noticed somebody in an SUV was leading a heavy-duty tow-truck to recover a standard logging truck that got stuck there. I had to make a U-Turn on the same dirt roads where this logging semi got stuck. Yet my 2-wheel-drive, high mileage nearly 20-year-old (at the time) Toyota Camry sedan, which so many people think should've been dead by then got in and out like it was nothing.

What road in the forest?  Further down south I used to travel Withlacoochee State Forest back roads quite often in my Sonic.  The clay base of those roads wasn't too difficult to get around in my old Sonic unless it was super wet out.  The Lecanto Sand Hills in the Citrus Wildlife Management Area was far more difficult given sugar sand was pretty much all over the place.

It was Quail Road, which is off of Holloway Road. Holloway becomes a dirt road just before the intersection with Quail. I generally don't like to drive on dirt roads, even though I have some near me, and have often been forced to do so at certain times. I'm also a lot closer to Withlacoochee State Forest, and thankfully never really had to drive on any of the dirt roads there.

Thanks.  Me on the other hand I love a good dirt road.  When they are graded properly they are way more fun to drive on than any paved roadway.  I'd be lying if I didn't say there wasn't appeal for me getting a vehicle down something really rough or not suited for low clearance cars.  Clay Sink Road came to mind as something in Withlacoochee that I had a lot of fun with in my old Sonic.

I know of a road in Zephyrhills, Florida you may or may not like. The name is Kossik Road and it's a dirt road extension of Pasco County Road 530 on the north side of the Wal-Mart on US 301. I drove that thing and I thought it was going to rip my car to pieces.

The two that made me sad to see get surfaced were Croom Road and Croom-Nobleton Road near Brooksville.  They both got a surface when I lived in Orlando.  I used to love dipping back that way north of State Road 50 when I was visiting family.

They should come out with a pitch-shifting effects pedal for mandolin that lowers the pitch by a perfect fifth.  They should call it The Mandola Effect.

If you mean K12 I don't think he's been back since a lot of told him how underwhelmed we are by current AI tools.

I've always seen it stand for "business to business" (as opposed to B2C which is "business to consumer"). B2B and B2C businesses operate rather differently since there are different expectations on the purchaser's end, thus why there's a need for terms for them.

Admittedly, the type of set I was referring to as well also tends to be written as "B2B2B2B2B2B2B2B" when I've seen it in the concert setlist at conventions I've personally been to.

Quote from: The_Ginger on April 30, 2026, 09:07:22 PMI'm annoyed when a microwave makes you press the "Tim Cook" button to enter a specific time. Our current and previous microwave allow you to enter a custom time my just selecting the numbers and clicking "Start". There's also a 1 minute button as well.

I'm not annoyed either way.  I just wish all microwaves were the same way.  When I go to use the microwave at a friend's house, I can never remember if I need to hunt for that button first or just start punching numbers.

If I want to pop something in for 50 seconds, but there's a TIM COOK button that I just haven't noticed yet, then, as soon as I hit the 5, there's a good chance it'll start going for 5 minutes right away.

But if I assume there's a TIM COOK button but there isn't one, then there's a good chance I'll spend half a minute staring at all the buttons for no good reason.

And maybe there is one, but it's called something ambiguous like TIM, but I assume that's for setting the clock...
