Does eating your feelings count as a medicinal use? Chocolate chip cookies are great for that.

My random thought:  you seem to have a strange combination of {a} rigid routines about everything what you eat from day to day and {b} relatively weak self-control when it comes to junk foods.  This is fascinating to me, because I might have guessed that the rigid routines would help you to avoid the stuff you wish you could avoid.  Does it just boil down to impulse buying when you're at the store?  Do you make a grocery list before you go?

Riverside isn't a suburb of Los Angeles.  We've been over this about the Inland Empire.

I don't think it's a black-and-white issue.  We've talked about how people there don't live with the concept of their town being a suburb, and we've talked about how the various towns developed according to their own histories, but none of that means the towns aren't actually suburbs.

Random thought...

The workforce management and invoicing program that we use at work was developed in partnership with our own in-house guys and a company that supports stuff like that.  We do hundreds of jobs per day, and most of the ones I deal with get exported from various MSOs' databases and uploaded as individual invoices in this program, for the field technicians to bill.  The program has a feature that, when you create an invoice, populates a website for that customer.  It does this by googling the customer's name and popping in whatever it finds.  It's obviously not completely accurate, and I don't know what department even finds any use for that, but whatever, they put it in there, so it's in there.

Anyway, I discovered something kind of humorous about that feature.  Whenever I need to make an adjustment to a tech's pay after that pay-period has already closed, I manually enter an invoice in the current pay-period instead.  And I use 'Adjustment' as the customer name on such invoices.  So what I noticed today is that, on each of these adjustment invoices, the program has been populating the website for a local chiropractic clinic in whatever city I enter in the 'city' field.

vdeane mentioned Wegmans. That's one store that makes it particularly easy to have a very helpful grocery list because if you use their app (which I recognize some people here would not do for various reasons), you can set it to the store you plan to visit. It will then sort your list both by aisle and location within the aisle and you check items off as you go by tapping a check box. "Location within the aisle" in this case means something similar to how Home Depot has "bay numbers" posted. Wegmans assigns "section numbers" to the shelves starting at the front of the store. So, for example, this past Saturday I had panko on the grocery list and the app said "12A—L—Section 10." Of course "L/R" is based on facing the aisles from the front of the store, such that they're flipped if you go the other way down the aisle, but that's no big deal, and the section number signs all have the "L" and "R" on them anyway. It all makes it very easy for me to avoid impulse buying as long as my wife is not at the store with me (which is rare). If she comes along, all bets are off.

I can't fathom that many people from Temecula are commuting to Los Angeles.  They certainly do to downtown Riverside though.  We had a bunch of workers employed at our store in Sun City (now Menifee) who drove up I-215 out of Temecula.

I'm more curious as to why I-57 keeps bringing it back up though?

Because he's suffering his own identity crisis, wondering if Bourbonnais counts as a suburb of Chicago, so this is his way of sorting through the emotional and mental strife?  Am I a suburbanite?

It's D&D night so I'll just ask Riverside what they think they are.

Heck, I remember back when Wayne's World came out, and a bunch of us were debating whether he was even accurate in defining Aurora as "a suburb of Chicago".

I am not sure about Chicago, but we are a suburb of Kankakee.

Having grown up during my early years in New Lenox, I thought it was obvious that Aurora was a suburb.  But apparently other people considered it to be too far out from Chicago.

When I was little kid, we did know a family in Joliet who had never been to Chicago a single time.
