Yep! Kinda wish I had a source, but it was changed after a resurfacing project. Not sure why tbh. It goes down to 35 closer to downtown Chiefland.
I can drive 55 ONLY when it makes sense.

I freaking knew someone would catch it lol  :spin:

Yeppers, 75 (bonus: Truck 70) is correct as this is indeed the I-49 Bobby Harper Tunnel!

It is the closest interstate tunnel to me. That I-49 drive is something special in the fall. Someone else can post the next picture.

Are we guessing the school zone speed limit?

If so, 15 mph

ElishaGOtis

Quote from: JREwing78 on September 23, 2025, 08:33:42 PMAre we guessing the school zone speed limit?

If so, 15 mph

15 is both the school zone speed limit AND the regular speed limit. This is a relatively rare 24hr school zone. While 15 is kind of aggressive imho (especially considering that in Tennessee, 1 over in a school zone is RECKLESS DRIVING  :wow: ), and while I normally despise 24hr school zones, it is an EXTREMELY rare instance of it making sense (just maybe not 15...).

There is a boarding school with buildings located on both sides of the roadway and THREE midblock crossings. The conditions which make the school zone active end up applying at all times of day/night. I went past here on a Sunday evening and there were kids in the yard outside the buildings.

This is TN-82 in Bell Buckle, TN, and 15 continues to apply outside the school zone until a bit further to the west (which can be seen in the image). I wanted to do the 25 zone just east of there (especially considering that GSV doesn't show it), but I had no way of proving the zone (incremental reduction from 15-25-35-45-55, all about a half mile each).
