Next, they'll probably go for a boring diamond since DE is the diamond state  :hmmm:

This picture of DE 48 is credited to dougtone.

...and to close round 1 is NH 49

excellent idea for round 2!

FINALLY!

I never thought we would EVER finish this first round....those last states were pretty hard to fill....maybe we should try to knock the harder ones off first this time...

I don't know that there's anything inherently hard about NH or DE- I think no matter what the end parts are going to be hard- many of our early states were Rocky Mountain/Great Plains states- states with far fewer road photos floating around

I think we're doing this one 51-100, then going back to 1-50, but I could be wrong- feel free to delete my post and tar and feather me if that's the case

This sign is obviously in Washington, so counts as Washington

that is correct.  we'll do 1-50 again the next iteration.  Someone suggested alternating 1-50 and 51-100 rounds and I thought that was a brilliant idea.  That way, different states are difficult.  For example, Arizona has very few routes lower than 50, while Alaska has only 97 and 98 higher (and good luck finding an in-the-wild photo of 97).

btw, there is no tarring and feathering in this game.  Just hide your cat if you feel you're about to err...

that is not how it works.  You cannot split like that, using what is clearly an Idaho route on a Washington sign to count Washington!  :-D  (had Idaho not already been used, you could have counted Idaho since it's clearly an Idaho marker.  Don't ask me about a Delaware circle in New Jersey because circles are just not worth worrying about that badly!)

here's a correct 53.

if any state other than Wisconsin put the California-style cutout into a black square like this (note the extra outline in black), I would like to know about it.

My bad- I thought that might spice things up and add some numbers (Washington alone would pick up 15, 30, 53, 84, and 95 by allowing adjacent state highway signage)

why does Lansdale appear twice?  Were there, previously, two street names under the shield?
