Where US 20 and US 52 intersect now in Dubuque, Iowa, US 52 was built over US 20, which was built over South Fork Catfish Creek.I

It no longer exists, but in Clinton, Iowa, there was a bridge over the Mississippi River to Illinois that went over the Chicago Northwestern RR bridge.  That bridge was replaced by the Gateway Bridge, which carries US 30 today.
