Only ONE woman?

I wondered why in God's name the speed limit was lowered back to 55 after only 3 or 4 months of being 65.  Damn that sucks!

BUMP. At least in Florida, one person is seriously all it takes. What criteria does TDOT use to set/reduce speed limits below default? It doesn't seem to be related to the 85th percentile despite what documentation states (See US-70 drop from 45 to 40 or SR-109 drop from 55 to 45)...

You ever thought about updating this map for some present-day situations? For instance, FL-20 between Hawthorne and Palatka has been fully widened to 4 lanes with a speed limit reduced to 50 except for a small section at 65 (breathes in... :banghead: ), US-98 had a few projects outside of the bridge completed in the panhandle region (I.e. Fort Walton Beach ped crossing improvements—where it's currently 25), and a bunch of new roadways have opened (US-129 Alcoa, FL-686A/690 Gateway, FL-429 Wekiva, and soon to be FL-23 FCE).
I can drive 55 ONLY when it makes sense.

I will say that TDOT has justification to raise 440's speed limit back up to 60 or 65, because when it was lowered the road surface was rough, loud concrete, and now it's mostly smooth, quiet asphalt, and more lanes to boot.  The only concrete stretch left runs next to a large cemetery, so they're not gonna complain.
