Okay, moving on...  It's hard to get a photo through the fencing in the small open area here, but these overhead signs on the U.S. side past the Customs/Immigration booths look like Ontario design (the arrows and overhead light structures).  Bummer that M-10 wasn't included on the Freeways sign.

There's still 10 days for Trump to decide that it won't open after all.  I wouldn't consider the matter settled until traffic is moving across the bridge - and maybe not even then.  I feel like the saying "don't poke the bear" applies here.

Mexican border agents for some reason ran my old pickup truck (long deceased) through a giant X-ray machine (or at least pretended to do so). I think this was at one of the Ciudad Juarez crossings. That was sometime in 2007 or later, when I transitioned from film cameras to digital, so fogging exposed film was not an issue. To be fair, my truck did kind of look like an ideal vehicle for smuggling guns or other contraband.

I agree with Valerie about whether the bridge opening might be called off (maybe by Carney, rather than by Chump) in view of the new tariffs. Also, the Moro(u)n family could try some last-ditch ploy to delay the opening some more.

I was in northeastern Indiana for this year's Extra Miler Club meeting. If the opening had not been delayed until next weekend, I could've clinched the Gordie Howe bridge yesterday.

OTOH, I don't think much traffic from the bridge will be connecting to M-10, especially long distance traffic. Most trucks will be heading south/west and if anything would use M-39 to connect to I-94.

Bridge opening still seems on track, but US officials have been disinvited from the Canadian opening ceremonies.
