Indeed, but as much as I'm worried about further delays, proclaiming a cancellation of the opening over the joint ceremony is premature.  As Minako Aino once said, "Don't count your eggs before they're chickens".

If you were using the hand crank it might take that long to get a Model T started.  I went and took a course on how to operate one in high school.  They are pretty fascinating and not all that dissimilar to riding lawn mower.

Looking at the videos, seems super well done, although I have some critiques.

1) The bridge could use contrast striping on the pavement markings... it's kinda hard to see the white lane lines.

2) I wish MDOT functionally classified their approach as "PA Freeway / Expressway" to allow for route continuity with ON-401...

3) The speed limit should be one unit exactly or split at the border like I-75, not "35mph / 60km/h" for the whole thing (better yet, maybe faster?).

4) Maybe would have been useful to use a zipper barrier instead of leaving it undivided... seems like it could pose a hazard in congested areas...

5) E-ZPass 

6) ULTRA-UNPOPULAR OPINION: The tolls could have been a bit higher... I'm slightly concerned for the businesses who have set up along Huron Church Rd.

All in all, I'm very impressed by this project! Linking the two freeways in the area directly will do wonders in terms of safety and efficiency, especially along the stroad that is Huron Church Rd / ON-3.
