Nope.

The name of the town it runs through is like a play on what's nearby though.

Drat! I was looking for something like that in Laconia, but didn't find it because Google refuses to show a route number on that road. Perhaps we need a thread about how much Google sucks these days...

Good find.

MD 144 just east of the US 220/I-68 interchange.

Someone may post a new place to guess instead of me.

Here's one.  State is Texas.

As noted with another one on this thread, you may have to think outside the box a bit.  But not necessarily in the same way.

Stormwalker

Since I chose this route more for significance than for recognizability of terrain (kind of an issue in large parts of Texas anyway, since much of Texas is prairie and pretty flat), I'll go ahead and give a hint early:

Both termini of this route are at the same Texas state route, which took over some of the original distance of this route.

Quote from: CoreySamson on February 10, 2026, 01:17:19 AMOoh, is this TX-OSR?

It is, indeed, the Old San Antonio Road!  Specifically, it's the section on the Brazos/Robertson county line, headed toward Bryan.

CoreySamson

Cool! Let's try another one from Texas:

Any guess I'd make at this one would be purely a guess - I don't recognize it as any route I've driven.  Of course, even among the state routes I've driven, a lot of them have probably had significant changes since the last time I drove them, so... I'm going to have to wait for the county before I take a shot at this, I think.

CoreySamson

I'll give a pretty good hint... this route is a super-2.

Most of the Super 2's I've personally driven on were US Routes rather than State Highways.

But I'll hazard a guess that it might be SH 121.

Not SH 121 but it's a three digit numbered highway.

It's past 96 hours.  County?  (or if that makes it too obvious, even the TxDOT district would be good).

Ain't no way I'm getting it without that, and nobody else seems to be guessing, so...

That's a good idea. It's in the Bryan TxDOT district!

Pretty sure the only three-digit state highway in that entire district is TX 105.

Alas, it is not TX 105. There is another 3 digit highway in that district...
