My home state is Maryland; the highway I've driven the most miles outside of that is I-76. I've driven the entire length of the PA turnpike and gone further westward to Canton, OH.

Provincial: ON 17 @ 425 miles (Thunder Bay to Sault Ste. Marie)

Disregarding the ones entering the three states I've called home (IL, CA and WA), I-20 would be the winner for E-W, and I-95 for N-S.

I've lived in OK, TX, and LA (for some of my childhood). I consider OK and TX to be my "home states" right now, as I am still in college. With that in mind, here are my top highways:

Interstate: by my definition of home state, it would be I-55 at 369 miles (everything between I-12 and I-555), but if we're being technical, my answer that does not enter either TX, OK, or LA is I-75 at 197 miles. I got much of that I-55 mileage when my family lived in LA.

US Route: US 98 at 396 miles (mostly everything between Pensacola and Homosassa).

State Route: by my definition, LA 28 at 88 miles (also further legitimized by the fact that when I clinched all this mileage, I had not lived in LA for over 10 years), but if being technical again, the answer become FL 589 at 53 miles.

Keeping it to the basics for now...

Interstate: I-94 (608.95 miles traveled, #4 overall)
   Runner-up: I-75 (544.09 miles traveled, #5 overall)
   Clinched Interstate: I-37 (145.63 miles)

US Route: US 52 (336.20 miles traveled, #1 overall)
Clinched US Route: None, but now I have an incentive to clinch US 113 (I'm missing just 2.5 of 75.3 miles)

State Route: M 28 (212.74 miles traveled)
Provincial Route: ON 401 (381.13 miles / 613.37 km traveled)

if North Carolina counts as one of my home states, then I-10
Center lane merges are the most unsafe thing ever, especially for unfamiliar drivers.

Control cities should be actual cities/places that travelers are trying to reach.

I do believe the winner for me is I-79 from I-90 in Erie to US 19 in Sutton, 280 miles (or 82% of the route).

Counting college and military service, I've now lived in nine states, six of them since I obtained my drivers' license.  Those six include all of the major coast-to-coast east-west Interstates and a couple more long Interstate and US routes.

The highway on which I've clinched the most mileage that does not enter any of those states is Interstate 5.  Interstate 75 is longer, and also does not enter any of those states, but I'm over 600 miles short of clinching it.  Third on the list would be Interstate 25; my mileage on I-75 exceeds the total mileage of I-25.
Main Line Interstates clinched:  2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 37, 39, 43, 44, 45, 55, 57, 59, 65, 68, 71, 72, 74 (IA-IL-IN-OH), 76 (CO-NE), 76 (OH-PA-NJ), 78, 80, 82, 86 (ID), 88 (IL), 94, 96

In overall mileage I've clinched several Sections of I-70: Breezewood, PA to St. Louis, MO; Wheeler Jct to Denver, CO; I-15 to Salina, UT; US 191 near Green River, UT to Grand Junction, CO.

Runners up: I-20 from its western terminus to Dallas.

I-44 from St. Louis to Carthage, MO; OKC to Wichita Falls, TX

US 287 from Amarillo to Wichita Falls

US 75 from Dallas, TX to Atoka, OK
