The IKE Stevenson connector about 1.4 miles actually appeared in a 5 year plan and a Tribune News Story and then disappeared .
Does anybody know what happened?

Do you mean a portion of the old Crosstown?

The Ike-Stevenson Connector was further east than the Crosstown - see Page 25/64 from https://cmap.illinois.gov/wp-content/uploads/2010_plan_1990.pdf

Yes that's it and it actually appears in the 1995-99 plan with 6 million in land acquisition. 1.2 million from an earmark.
There was a Tribune article and then it vanished.
That same plan had an Outer belt from 88 to Richmond that no action was taken
I used the 95 planned a base because most of it appeared in the original 2050 Plan except the Prairie Parkway and Foxway.
I will go over the fantasy routes of the L3 71 interim plan someday.

Can't be.  The AARoads Wiki article says it existed from the 1960s–1970s and was maintained by IDOT.

I didn't find anything on the Wiki. Are you thinking of the Western Avenue ghost ramps on the Kennedy?
This project was going to use RR ROW like the mini crosstown Mid City transitway to the west.
I googled it and nothing comes up now.
