There is a person of interest detained related to the Spokane wildfires.
What's insane to me is that if I recall correctly, I've been reading that young man killed his own father because he didn't wanna wash dishes. This happened in Arizona, and it was plead down to manslaughter. Now he's being held on suspicion of arson related to this wildfire and he was given a $1 million bond. I honestly did not fact check that but I have seen that for multiple different sources. It made me angry enough as is to think that if that dude had $1 million he could just walk out back into society right now that is absolutely fucking insane.
I believe in rehabilitation, but if you kill someone over doing dishes, I think you're too far gone. Even I wouldn't do it and I fucking hate doing dishes.
Have you ever seen the movie no country for old men?

" I sure don't know what to make of that, I sure do don't"

I'm pretty sure that guy in Spokane wasn't Anton Chigurh friendo.
I don't know about that, but I seen you was from one of the Bay Area, super commuter exurbs

That's when San Francisquito Canyon Road and Tehachapi-Willow Springs Road come in handy.

I spent much of the morning watching a Forest Service helicopter extinguishing a small fire above Florence Lake.  It must've not been all that big of a deal since it isn't on the Calfire map.

A wildfire is reported in Big Sur.

Which apparently never caused a closure on 1.  The evacuation orders are pretty much confined to the Big Sur (the community) area.  At least that fire is not some slide prone coastline segment.

Here is an interesting one. the wildfires in Europe exposed bombs from previous wars such as World War I and II in some spots.

I saw that story. It had the benefit of cooking off some unexploded ordnance and making others discoverable, but at the same time exposed more of them to unfortunate accidents for nature lovers. They'll still be finding those bombs over the next 200 years.
