Another Ontario example. Highways 27 and 88 in Bond Head. Both of these were decommissioned on January 1, 1998. Also, note the faint "9" on the Highway 88 shield.

Nice one, I forgot about this. Did Highway 9 used to be routed along Highway 88??

Also I love that completely non-standard EDR sign pointed in the wrong directions haha

Based on some quick reading, I don't think Highway 9 was ever routed that way. I guess it was just a repurposed shield?

It's gone now that the Alaskan Way Viaduct has been torn down, but a US 99 shield in Seattle remained until 2019 despite the route being decommissioned in 1969
