QuoteApril 19: Post the junction of two routes in a state* bordering yours, where both routes have a number containing a 7 in the tens place.

This seems a little lame, but I have only two obvious examples in Columbus, OH.

I-70 at I-270 on the east side of town:

I-71 at I-270:

For 7-7 day I will showcase the junctions of I-75 and all 3 of its auxiliary routes in GA. All 4 of I-75's interchanges with its "child" routes are wye interchanges, with all of the northbound splits being complex in nature, with collector/distributor lanes coinciding with the interchange south of it in the Macon area, and express toll lanes coinciding with the Atlanta-area junctions.

I-75 northbound at junction I-475 northbound just outside of Macon (note the distributor ramp from the I-75 northbound collector/distributor lanes to I-475 northbound traveling over I-75 in the background)

I-75 southbound at junction I-475 southbound near Bolingbroke (the 1 mile stretch of I-475 in both directions between here south to US 41 is the only stretch of 4 lane interstate along the I-75 through traffic corridor between Naples FL and Chattanooga TN [continuing on I-75 through Macon goes out of the way for through traffic])

I-75 northbound at junction I-575 northbound between Marietta and Kennesaw (note the split of the toll express lanes between the two interstates in the background)

I-75 northbound at junction I-675 northbound in Stockbridge (note the toll express lane ramps to I-675 in the background traveling over the I-75 northbound through lanes)

I'm surprised you didn't post anything about I-670 in Columbus. That interstate has always intrigued me, especially how they configured the route through downtown. I'm planning on clinching the route going eastbound next month :)

For over 20 years I used to live about a mile away from here. I can't begin to tell you how much has changed in that view in the time I lived in that part of Hillsborough County!!

I lived near there for a year; pretty much everything has changed in the Tampa area (except Nebraska Avenue, it's exactly the same).

US 31 south/US 280 east at US 78 on the east side of downtown Birmingham. UAB is just ahead; Homewood and Cahaba Heights are after that on the other side of the ridge. There are some vistas along the freeway southbound between downtown and Homewood where you can see the Vulcan Statue off to the right (unfortunately the view from here is blocked by the billboard just past the ramp)

I simply don't yet have many photos of I-670 and none to fit the 7-7 combo.  I am maybe inhibiting myself because for this thread I made my own house rule that signs for both routes have to be in the photo.

April 23: Post the junction of two routes in a state* bordering yours, where one route's number has a 8 in the tens place, and the other route's number has a 9 in the tens place.
April 24: Post the junction of two routes in a state* bordering yours, where both routes have a number containing a 9 in the tens place.

From May to August, the theme is concurrencies only! No geographical constraints will apply. Qualifying photos will show concurrent trailblazers, or guide markers on cross streets showing multiple routes with arrows pointing in the same direction. A good example for 71 and 175 would be my pair of trailblazers shown in the Iowa photo I posted to day. And a good example for qualifying guide markers would be my 79 and 170 photo for Wisconsin; since Routes 79 and 170 both have arrows pointing to the left, this clearly indicates the start of a concurrency for Routes 79 and 170.
