That's likely true. All my east coast photos are from about 20 years ago, so I'm sure a lot of them don't reflect current signage. And that assembly looks like it was dated even then.

I don't have much for the 2's. First up is the historic end of US 202 at US 2 in downtown Bangor, ME:



Close to the junction of US 62 and US 62A in Niagara Falls, NY (with former US 104 thrown in for good measure):



I'm out again tomorrow for the 2-3 day.  For some reason, I never photographed either of the junctions of 2 & 93 or 12 & 93, despite being to both several times and having other highway pictures from both areas.  Oh, well.
