Since the OP clearly states that you can't ask more than one question...

Quote from: kphoger on July 17, 2025, 10:50:32 PMNo more than one conversation starter question per day.

Then we come up with the worst, least applicable, most inappropriate answer to the question.

...we need to decide which one stays today, and which one can be asked tomorrow. The (Indiana) Toll Road question came up first, so the reason is that the state government worked with IL and OH to encourage more traffic between Chicago and Cleveland to take the roundabout way (via Indianapolis, Dayton and Columbus), so they could reserve the more direct route for the VIPs. Although, if the next question is preferred instead...

...then my answer would be KEEP DIGGING.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Why was the Indiana Toll Road privatized for a time?

It was going to become publicly traded 3 years after the lease began but those plans got nixed during the '08 recession. Drivers were supposed to be able to buy/sell stock at the toll booths, which is why the payment machines have issues processing payments after the market closes (AKA during rush hour causing long queues).

Quote from: I-55 on April 13, 2025, 09:39:41 PMThe correct question is "if ARDOT hasn't signed it, why does Google show it?" and the answer as usual is "because Google Maps signs stuff incorrectly all the time"

How can you tell that one's inappropriate?

One he is on the side of the road and two he is in public view.   Any hole would be inappropriate in those scenarios.
