The image had not loaded for me when I posted that. It's a big no if they cause Clearview signs in a negative-contrast environment. FHWA would be on the state for years.

I don't think even FritzOwl had 30% of the interstates in Florida, but I suppose Lake Okeechobee was also getting the way of progress.

1.  Some details are lacking.

2.  But this would cause less of a problem for the Southern Hemisphere than one might immediately think considering how few cities there regularly get any snowfall at all as it is.

Heating elements encorporated into the pavement.  They don't have to get really hot, just enough above freezing to melt snow or ice.

kernals12 was advocating for this some years ago. But he claimed to want the roads to get extremely warm.

He also advocated for global warming being a good thing.  I seem to recall a lack of snow on the roads was one of his arguments.

Justices Alito and Kavanaugh concur in posting that mile marker, though they don't necessarily agree with the rationale for posting it there.

(If you don't get it, look at how the Supreme Court lists opinions. "A" denotes Justice Alito and "BK" denotes Justice Kavanaugh, who has a first initial to distinguish him from "EK" (Justice Kagan) and "AK" (Justice Kennedy, now retired).)

Ehh. On occasion when people have referred to a thread's "page number," I've pointed out that such references are meaningless because the forum allows you to set a different number of posts per page. I have mine set to the maximum to reduce the number of pages I have to click through to read a thread. From the reaction I got, you would have thought I'd cancelled Christmas. The reaction was along the lines of "the forum default is the norm and you people who depart from it have no business complaining when the rest of us stick to it."

I suppose what I might have said instead was "because it's immediately adjacent to this post and will be posted again in umpteen other quotes that will soon follow."

Yes, that would have been better.  Because it would have been 100% accurate.  And that's what matters.
