I do think it would be funny if there were a set of express-type lanes with a sign restricting them to vehicles branded as Acura, Lexus, Infiniti, Cadillac, Porsche, and other more expensive automakers, just to mess with the people who spew the "Lexus Lanes" slogan.

Vehicle registration includes that info so it would be a pay by plate situation. Also removing the license plate makes you ineligible to ride either lane.

Let's use I-366 as our interstate. It will be a 4-lane highway split up into 1, 2, and 1 lane(s).

1995hoo: His lane will be to the far right, but still on the same pavement as the other lanes. His lane will be separated from the other traffic by 2 white lines. Everyone else to him will be the other three lanes.

LilianaUwU: Her lane will be on the far left. It will be separated by 2 white lines. Everyone else to her will be the other three lanes.

Since the user-only lanes will be part of the whole "everyone else" lanes on either side, both users can have express lanes.

In Washington State we don't specify a party when we register to vote.  Most primary elections have the top two advance to the general election, and yes we have ended up with two Democrats or two Republicans facing off in the general.
