Maryland has US 40 Scenic. Where should there be other 'scenic' US / State / Interstate routes?

Scenic I-55, Scenic US 40, and Scenis US 50 in IL.

IN 912 should be Scenic US 12. Come for the scenery, stay for the pleasant aromas.

Because clinching secret highways is a pastime best reserved for the truly elite, rather than the hoi polloi.

They are; a person just needs to clinch 100% of the state (or equivalent)'s highway system to unlock them, along with a special cutscene.

We've got our country's 250th anniversary to plan, a website to arrange, Cloudflare to murder, and Alanland to frame for it; we're swamped!

Can't guarantee they're over 18.

Because they didn't sign a contract to be included.

And that's a bad answer because all the unsigned Interstates are over 100.

There is a glitch in the site update program that automatically deletes all of the unsigned routes.

unsigned int routes = 0;
unsigned int points = 0;
unsigned int segments = 0;

Which is a bad answer because unsigned interstates are in Travel Mapping. :)

Wait.  I take it back.  Alaska and Puerto Rico have unsigned Interstates that aren't over 18.

Because the Google Maps car probably already got to it first, so there's no point.

Unsigned highways are insecure, as you can't verify that they're authentic highways using the DOT's public key.

Anybody clinching an unsigned highway obviously wanted to be incognito at the time, and therefore wouldn't want to record their clinch on a public site.
