Quote from: kphoger on June 22, 2026, 01:28:41 PMThis crosswalk signal now displays both a steady green ball and a flashing yellow ball at the same time—on all signal heads, in both directions.

What is the intended meaning when a signal displays a combination of a steady green ball and a flashing yellow ball?

ADVANCE CLEAR TO MEDIUM or ADVANCE APPROACH MEDIUM, depending on the rulebook. Both mean the same thing though: "Proceed approaching second signal at Medium speed (30 MPH)."
May or may not be batticorn.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

As a Confederate state, they want to eliminate "US" Highway numbers.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"

Due to widespread illiteracy and poor enunciation, they think the words intrastate and interstate are the same—pronounced in-r-state.

The difference is that we stick a number on anything while NCDOT has to at least somewhat upgrade the freeway before slapping a blue and red shield on it.  :-D
