It is a visual hieroglyphic depiction of the all of the lyrics of the hymn "I Have Decided To Follow Jesus."

I have decided to follow Jesus.

In Blacksburg, we say "Hokie-Pokie".  And both of our marching bands play the John Philip Sousa rendition (with an extra boost from -sigh- the Sousaphone section).  [By the way, the Virginia Tech Regimental Band is called the Highty-Tighties].

I'm actually not familiar enough with the history of the term 'hamburger roundabout' to say for certain that it originated in the US.  For all I know, it came over here from England or wherever.
