It's a very niche feature I haven't heard about previously. The only "question" from the OP that I could discern was "what happened to this feature," which is a question only a mod or admin can answer.
I mean an admin has already responded to this with the answer of "Waco, Texas", so I'm assuming they don't really know what happened to it either.

The staff collectively thinks about the post-statistics screens so infrequently that we weren't aware anything even changed with them.

We encourage you to think about them as frequently as we do—they are not intended to be a core feature of using the forum.

I didn't think you inferred it.  And you're correct, that autism is over-represented on this forum.  And you're correct, that this means an unusually high number of forum members obsess over statistics.  But that doesn't mean you should obsess over statistics.

Look how well statistics worked out for Beltway recently in the Key Bridge thread.  He was citing AADT stats to make a point to Rothman about the I-81 viaduct in Syracuse.  Problem was he got called for omitting (cherry picking IMO) less data driven research as part of the corridor EIS.  Numbers don't always tell the full story, even with this hobby.

Regarding post counts/stats, I still maintain they have very a little use and probably should have been turned off.  What use they have has been overridden by the problems seem to repeatedly cause.

Got me.  Look, I'm not offended by what RGT said.  Although i do get annoyed when some of the posters bring up that they assume most (or all) hobby members have some form of neurodivergence.  RGT is claiming that isn't the case with him.  I still think what he wrote can be taken that way.

I think the best description for me appears in Scott5114's profile: "Nitpicker of unprecedented pedantry." After all, this morning as part of my real job I flagged a comma that was italicized when it should not have been and noted an issue regarding whether a footnote jump should go before or after a closing parenthesis.

TempoNick bluntly used autism as a way to insult others, trying to derail the conversation by making the thoughts of others seem trivial. That's a pretty far cry from what happened here, though I do agree that you should be careful about insinuating that everyone on the forum has a neurological disorder.

As I write this post, I am only about 2/3 normal. The other 1/3 of me is parallel.

(This is all relative to the ground of course.)

Roadgeekteen

When compared relative to humans compared to non human animals, I'm 100% normal. When compared just to each human individually, I'm 0% normal.
