It's been months and still no one found the supposed article. Guessing it never existed.

Any chance you're thinking of this? https://la.streetsblog.org/2010/05/11/park-101s-freeway-lid-for-a-walkable-downtown-los-angeles

It's the closest thing I could find. It's about a lid though which sits on top of the freeway, not replacing the freeway itself. Author's name is Joe Linton which is vaguely similar to Lindsay...

It's also a 16-year-old article from a blog. People with opinions. They have about as much sway as anyone else here. Agree/disagree, not really seeing what the big deal is either way.

Well, unless you think i'm intentionally lying, I'm pretty sure I saw this article by this lady named Alyssa something, and it showed renderings of what US-101 would look like as a boulevard. I just spent about 25 minutes trying to find it and I couldn't but I'm going to see if I can. Maybe I'm just crazy and imagining things.

Perhaps I secretly want to see that happen and I just can't come to the terms with it.

I didn't think anyone was lying. I just saw a claim of some article on a blog, and after many months, no one was able to find it.

I also pointed out that even if this article existed, what's the issue? It's a blog, someone's opinion. Has zero actual weight and thus it's not really worth thinking much about.

Maybe you do, maybe you don't. But part of living is no matter what, we shouldn't just automatically dismiss ideas. Some are pretty stupid, like this one, and the short-lived idea of getting rid of the Marina Freeway. But others, like converting I-980 back into the boulevard it once was, has a lot of merit when you understand what some freeways have done to communities and the displacements they've caused. Oakland has a lot of issues, and the freeways have played a role in some of those issues. There are certainly valid discussions to be made about converting freeways back into surface streets. But I don't think US-101 through the SF Valley is one of those discussions worth having, personally.
