It is part of the name of one of my websites going back to 2002.

As far as any connection to Washington and the federal government, anyone can see that I am diametrically opposed to most of what goes on there.

This thread has devolved into exactly what I'd hoped to avoid.

I started it because of a new news item that had come out after the old thread was locked, with the knowledge that the NTSB report was imminent. Instead it's become the morass of name-calling, insults, and far-off-topic posts that got the first thread killed.

Maybe we should disregard this thread, at least until we stop doing what got the original thread locked in the first place. An alternative would be to make this thread dormant until construction on the replacement bridge begins.

It was also quiet for several days.  Maybe drawing attention back to it in lieu of actual bridge news wasn't the thing to do either.

FWIW this topic seems to be highly charged and contentious in all corners of internet.  When Dan ran two drone photos posts on the Key Bridge site on our Facebook account it got about 7,000 combined reactions.  I did more moderating for those two posts than the entirety of everything else we have posted since 2016.

Also, there is something worse than what you have seen in here regarding the Key Bridge.  Off forum there a surprisingly high number of people who believe the ship impact was a controlled demolition.  I don't recall anyone here suggesting 9/11 style conspiracies.

I am an anti-conspiracy buff myself. The 10 most popular conspiracy theories -- I disbelieve them all -- and have about 20,000 words of saved arguments of mine that I can select from when I see one reposted.

I have seen very little of that about the Key Bridge in the various forums I have been in and that includes YouTube videos about the bridge.

The MDTA project Facebook page is loaded with "stupid stuff" posts that basically say nothing of substance --  noise:signal ratio of about 90:10.

I have seen it occasionally, but no one has explained specifically how it was done.

Some have said that the ship rammed it deliberately, but that would not be what the conspiros call "CD".
