Based on my YouTube feed this morning, Syracuse is going to use this for a railroad bridge on Park St by Destiny USA.

City of Syracuse, not NYSDOT.  And that's all I'll say on that at this time...

I would assume that these physical warning devices will be placed after a multitude of clearance warnings. If you pass 10 warning signs for low clearance and hit the warning device, I fail to see why it would be the State's problem.

Also, like Rothman said, NY-370/Park St is City-maintained here, and it appears the City is leading the project. It is also a 30mph city street and not a 55mph parkway, so that could be a factor in the decision too.

(Personal opinion emphasized. Bridge hits keep me employed...)
